Welcome Letter from the Chairman
On behalf of the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS) and its Scientific Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to our 15th Annual ENETS Conference, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain, 7 - 9 March 2018.
The 3-day conference will include a Postgraduate Course (7 March), Interactive Workshops in the morning (8 March) addressing views from Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Surgery and Nuclear Medicine , Nurse Session (9 March) and offer Poster Sessions including selected Poster Walks (8 and 9 March). It goes without saying, we are very grateful for winning outstanding speakers again.
The 2018 scientific program (accredited by the UEMS-EACCME®) will cover a wide spectrum ranging from newest findings in basic research in genetics and epidemiology of malign processes in general and also specifically for NET. It will, however, also present current clinical research in the field of targeted therapies.
Amidst many engaging sessions, such as “Standards of Care for Merkel Cell Carcinoma” and “Towards Understanding NET” there will be one, entitled "Epidemiology - ENETS Meets East and West" where speakers will present their European, American, and Asian perspectives. In addition, topics will cover "Cancer and Translational Biology", "The Genetic Landscape of PanNENs" and "Somatostatin Receptor Targeting and Combinations".
The delegates will consist of scientists, physicians, young investigators and nurses in neuroendocrine tumor disease from all over the world. We are confident – as in the years before – that our 15th ENETS Annual Conference will serve as a place to meet, discuss and initiate networking.
Importantly, we hope that our patients will benefit from our endeavors.
We thank you in advance for your interest and look forward to your participation.
With kind regards,
